Office Lighting Recommendations

When choosing the most appropriate fixture for office space lighting, consider glare reduction for computers and necessary light level requirements (per IES recommendations). For glare reduction, the P Series is highly recommended. Generally, IES recommendations for office application light levels should be between 35 and 50 foot-candles. Advanced reflector technology enables many fixtures to be delamped and retrofitted with reflectors to achieve a respectable light level.  

Our KTC is a 2X4 troffer fitted with an acrylic lens, and is perhaps the most widely used – since it provides a considerable cost savings over louvered fixtures. Another alternative to the 3" deep parabolic is the egg crate lens. These lenses come in a wide variety of cell sizes and may be finished in white or silver.
