System Description - Basic Use and Limitations
The KWM reflector kits are
designed to convert standard T-12 strip fixtures to highly efficient one, two or four lamp
T-8 acrylic wraparound lens fixtures. The KSLW configuration improves the performance of
standard strip fixtures where lamps are subject to physical damage. Conversion maximizes
fixture efficiency, and provides uniform light distribution and protects lamps in
industrial settings. The reflector can be easily removed for maintenance without tools.
Kit contains reflector, brackets, endplates, acrylic lens and fasteners. Socketed kit
contains reflector, brackets, end plates, fasteners and include jumpered sockets
(standard) or non-jumpered sockets (please specify non-jumpered). Jumpered (shunted)
sockets are required for instant start ballast. Rapid start ballast require
non-jumpered or non-shunted sockets. Channel widths other than standard must be identified
in the part number (see order guide section of specifications)
Installation of the retrofit kit is simple and easy, requiring only basic hand tools. The
process involves
removing the existing lamps, sockets and ballast pan, then reinstalling the sockets and
brackets. The reflector is then easily attached to the brackets with quarter turn
fasteners and the lens snaps onto to reflector edges. End plates cover the fixture ends.
The 8 ft conversion kit requires 28700 locking sockets with center bracket.
